Joel and I at the Fyristorg farmers market.

We went to the farmers market in Uppsala again. This time we took the car and had more and a greater variety. There are hardly any vegetables this time of year, but we did manage to get together a number of different kinds of pumpkins, sauerkraut, pickles, miso and apple juice.

It went well dispite being an odd day before a major holiday. Economically it’s no big deal, but it’s a good way to get new customers. The main thing is to get out and be amoung people after a week in the garden. And it does add a bit of extra pocket money to an otherwise meager pension.

The pensioner standing next to us comes every week all year, come rain or shine or snow or storm, to sell his eggs and potatoes. His reason – ‘it’s fun’.

I think I could get addicted.
