There is plenty of snow in polar Sweden, but we have been getting the warm weather here too. It’s been above freezing most of the time making slippery roads and lousy skiing. We spent yesterday in Finland stocking up on super sourdough rye bread and other finnish specialities.

These boots are about 40 years old.

Nowdays they only get used a few times a year when someone comes to vist the old homestead. They were getting dry and at the same time mildewy from disuse, so I greased them in with a liberal dose of ‘bear grease’ and put a label on that no one should store them in the cellar again.
