I found some cypress on sale, so as long as it’s not frozen, in the ground they go.

It’s a cypress type called Thuja occidentalis – Brabant. I add 4 in the spring and 4 in the fall to this cresent shaped hedge around the pond. That way there will be a slight decline in size from the middle to the points.

The ever, on going pond project. Not much progress this year, but the cypress got put in. The earlier ones are getting established and starting to grow quite well. The nonmonument got straightened a bit.

The pond must go a lot deeper, but it has been raining too much when the pond digging time comes these last two summers.
