It’s a frosty saturday morning, but the weather is supposed to get sunny and warm today. I told my customers that I would start going to the market as soon as the weather started to get nice, so I packed my backpack basket with fermented foods, lunch and other paraphernalia,

And hop on the bus to Uppsala and Fyristorg for my first farmers market this year.

Here we are – not much, but a good start.

There’s going to be a fermtation festival this coming saturday (5 september 2015), and I’m invited to give a workshop on miso making, so I won’t be at the Fyris Torg farmers market as usual. 

It will be in west Sweden in the town of Uddebo near BorĂ¥s. The festival will be about all kinds of fetmented foods, how to make them, samples, sales and a fermented food potluck dinner.
