At this time of year in Japan, there are cherry blossoms just about everywhere…as well as tourists, temples, gardens and garden design. There are also many sources of inspiration for garden art.

Stone (my favorite)

And I could go on and on. I have taken so many pictures I feel like I’ve overdosed already.

…is full of snow after the last storm. The winds whipped the light snow all the way up to the rafters. I have some sweeping and digging to do. This happens every winter, but it’s worse than usual this time. I try to cover some things with tarps etc and not have any important tools there to get damaged, but the snow got in everywhere, so I can expect there will be a quite a bit more rust when melting time comes.

I can hope that the snow and ice sublimate.
